My
name is---you guessed it---Georgia. I live with my husband
Charley, and our new pooch Tootsie, in the picturesque town of
Mystic,
Connecticut. I retired from teaching in 1993, and since then have been
fortunate enough to spend most of my time doing the things I love best:
travel, photography, computers.
I
became really interested in photography as we began to travel more, after
both our retirements. Finally, in 1998, I graduated to an SLR. But then,
along came computers. I found that I really loved mine, and was spending
more and more time with it, getting myself into trouble that I had no idea
how to get out of. Well, I learned. I view each computer disaster as
a learning experience, and believe me, I have
learned a lot!
So,
a love of photography and a love of computers led to the logical ending of
a digital camera. I began
with an Olympus D-450Z, graduating to an Oly C-2100 UZ, Oly C-740 UZ,
Canon EOS 300D, and now the Canon EOS 350D. As backup cameras, I use the
Canon SD300 and the Canon S2 IS. I edit with Photoshop CS, retouching to
some degree each and every image that comes out of my camera.
The
construction of this website was a real milestone for me. I learned html
code at a local adult ed class, then used Front Page for Dummies to do the
rest. While Front Page takes care of most of the hard work, my knowledge
of html has been extremely useful. Front Page doesn’t always cooperate
with me!
I
have worked hard to put together a links page which will appeal to the
fledgling digital photographer and Photoshop novice. These are all sites
that have been very useful to me along the way. I would be very pleased to
be able to help someone else.
Thanks for visiting.
